If you think nothing has been happening at the foundation this year because we haven’t held in any book launches nothing could be further from the truth. We are sometimes like an iceberg. We appear small on the surface but underneath there is an army at work developing strategies and laying the groundwork for the future.

THE METRO PROJECT

 Strategic Alliance forged between Warfleet Press, METRO Canada’s Neighbourhood Guide and the Arthur W. Delamont Foundation that will see 50 million being raised for Public School Music programs annually in five provinces over the next five years.

If you don’t know who Warfleet press and METRO Canada’s Neighbourhood Guides are yet, visit their online library at https://issuu.com/metroguides. There are 10 Metro Guides on Metro Vancouver and several books and travel guides from Warfleet Press. Warfleet Press is also the parent company of METRO. All three are poised to become major players in support of small business and the arts across Canada over the next five years.

Warfleet Press has been writing and publishing books on the little guy on the street and the arts for 25 years. Its biographies on unique British Columbians range from the big Jimmy Pattison to the local barber George Chronopoulas to the high flyers Sid Fattedad to the zany Faye Leung. METRO Canada’s Neighbourhood Guide offers affordable advertising to small businesses presently all over Metro Vancouver but in the New Year in 40 towns across BC as well. It has created 10 new high paying jobs in Metro Vancouver and soon 40 more in towns across British Columbia. In 5 years it will have created 300 high paying jobs for people across Canada (see www.metro-online.ca).

The next five years will be known as Public School Music Education Years.

*2024 will be known as B.C. Public School Music education Year

*2025 will be known as Alberta Public School Music Education Year

*2026 will be known as Saskatchewan Public School Music Education Year

*2027 will be known as Manitoba Public School Music Education Year

2028 will be known as Ontario Public School Music Education Year

5 Book Launches will be held across BC in the fall of 2024 to launch the following:

METRO Vancouver Public School Music & Arts Venue Magazine

METRO Vancouver Island Public School Music & Arts Venue Magazine

METRO BC Interior Public School Music & Arts Venue Magazine

METRO Okanagan Public School Music & Arts Venue Magazine

METRO Kootenai’s Public School Music & Arts Venue Magazine

100 H.S. Music & Arts programs/venues will be highlighted on a page. Each will receive 400 magazines to sell as a fundraiser which will raise $20,000 for each annually (10 schools in 10 towns).The magazines will all be promoted in our online library as well.

The same will happen in the other provinces each year.

After 5 years, there will be 25 magazines on H.S. music & arts venues across Canada.

The METRO PROJECT will bring together small business and the arts across Canada like never before. From local businesses to big business in the hotel, airline, travel, movie and TV industries (our sponsors) a community will emerge with one goal to integrate and preserve the best we have in small business and the arts thus enriching future generations of Canadians for years to come.
